Try Hypnotherapy with Ali
If you'd like to experiment with hypnosis I would be open to working with you for free.I learned and practiced hypnotherapy for about two years coming out of college to help people with healing, self improvement, and simply to explore an interesting topic.I am passionate about the power of beliefs, imagination, the mind-body connection, and energy/reiki work, and believe in people being able to create the life they want to live.It always produces a positive outcome! If you don't believe me, let's try it.
Here is my long rambly status update if you'd like to understand my history with hypnotherapy
I was first exposed to the concept of hypnotherapy through the book Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss, a traditional psychiatrist who had a client suddenly remember a past life under hypnosis. Dr. Brain Weiss has since made his whole career around past-life regression hypnotherapy, and has contributed significantly to the field. In my opinion, regardless of what your explanation of what that client's experience was (whether it was imagination, a memory of her past life, or a tapping into a kind of collective consciousness), it was useful for her to heal present-day issues, and I couldn't let go of the power hypnotic techniques had that helped her get there. In addition to past-life regression, I learned that hypnosis can be used for all kinds of things to help people heal and make changes in their lives. I love its interplay with other passions of mine, like the mind-body connection, emotions affecting the physical body, manifestation, reiki/energy work, meditation, and the 'power of now' (book).Hypnosis is a very natural process and its concepts have been used to help people for at least 5000 years starting from 'sleep temples'. You can read more about it on this web page. I see its concepts in many alternative therapies, like in energy work, tarot, etc. I also see its concepts in normal relationships with authority, like in coaching and teaching. It is perhaps unfortunately laden with suspicion; then again, it's reputation often helps it work even better.I see hypnosis as an interesting set of skills that allow me to help others with their beliefs and help them live the life they want to live. I see them as a more unique way to help me coach people, whether in a personal or in a business setting. But it is true that the responses I got from telling people "I do hypnotherapy" got tiresome, which contributed to me more or less tabling it as a pursuit for now after about two years of focus (2020-2022). Regardless, it has informed my view of the world, how to work with my own mind and others, and I expect to weave its concepts into my future endeavors more explicitly.I pursued the study of hypnotherapy through the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. HMI is the only nationally accredited school of hypnotherapy and provides a 720-hour program from dozens of very experienced teachers. Here is a snapshot of the curriculum: (provide screenshot) (also provde screenshot of all of my notes and materials)I was able to do so remotely through many hours of zoom classes and practice sessions. One of my challenges with this practice though was not securing a sufficient 1-1 mentor. I connected with some through the school but wasn't willing to pay more for their guidance. I eventually connected with some in my area (MA and VT), but had lost some momentum and got weighed down by general confusion and life pressures, and stopped following through.I also found that in the transitions of my mid-20s I needed a break from all of the content. I needed a break from "improving my mindset" and just wanted to get my feet under me in my business career and actually relax in the real, physical world. All that being said, I am ALWAYS down to talk about this stuff. I would also be happy to show anybody for free what hypnosis can do for them, and experiment with different skills with a willing subject. You'd make my day if you reached out!
When you really want to make a change, hypnosis helps you break through.Hypnotic techniques help you relax and feel safe subconsciously so you become better at receiving your own messages to yourself.A hypnotist cannot make you think or do anything you do not agree with. We can collaborate to help you start habits, stop habits, cultivate better self-talk, release negative emotions, and set your vision to help direct your future. In my practice you will recognize that much of a session is like a guided meditation with goals, tailored to you, but with some key hypnotic elements to help you focus and anchor the changes you wish to make.
"When you were a tiny baby, you were pure joy and love. You knew how important you were...You knew that you were perfect. And that is the truth of your being. All the rest is learned nonsense and can be unlearned"
Louise Hay
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a technique that relaxes your conscious mind and focuses your attention to communicate with your subconscious. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, and the more you do it the better you get at it.It is a very natural state of awareness that we go into several times a day, and is the same state of mind as light sleep, in alpha and theta brain wave state.Other instances of going into the alpha state state are when we are absorbed in a movie, or when we miss our exit driving while lost in thought. Other instances of the theta state include deep meditation, as well as light sleep.Meanwhile, guided imagery and suggestion can help you make positive changes towards your goals.
___________________________________________________________________________________We can also find ourselves in hyper-suggestible state at times and essentially stuck in hypnosis. In this state we are very susceptible to messages, particularly our own feelings like fears, anxieties, and the self-talk. Sometimes what you actually need is to 'wake up," and desensitize yourself to something.Do you live inside of a movie in your head, or do you see the world around you? *Feeling your feet on the ground is a good way to ground yourself, along with breathing, noticing the things around you, the sounds, the physical feelings, and the taste in your mouth. *

It is important to clearly know what you want and know how you want to feel to make change happen. This is something we can work on.
Why Use It?
A hypnotic state is an ideal learning space for the subconscious mind. By relaxing your critical thoughts, you are better able to accept new ideas. It is non-invasive and its side effects include... deep relaxation! In the scientific method, the "placebo effect" can be lamented for how effective it can be for causing the same outcomes as medical interventions in experiments, and must be controlled for. We hypnotists, however, fully harness the mechanisms of mind that also contribute to the placebo effect. It is your most powerful tool in life.
Some of my favorite interviews that credit energy work, mindset, manifestation, and the subconscious to a large part of success (and joy):

Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx

Mind-Control?!
A hypnotherapist cannot control your mind, and you cannot be made to do or think anything you don't want. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis; and the more you do it, the better you get at it.

Testimonials
Client with a phobia of dogs, 2022"I was feeling some level of anxiety before going out today but it was significantly a lot less than before. I was able to walk past a few dogs- although I had someone with me at all times. I can see the difference now. I was actually quite surprised to realize later that I wasn't actually thinking of dogs when I went out and throughout my trip- which was definitely not the case before!1 month later laterNow I am actually focusing only on human beings that I am passing by, every time I am out. A change in this focus has helped me tremendously. Thank you so much for all your help and support. Much appreciated!"
